About Dr. McArthur
Karina McArthur, MD, FACS, FASMBS, is a board-certified general and bariatric surgeon currently practicing in New York City. A native of Ukraine, she spent her early years in New York City and graduated from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai with top honors. She completed a prestigious fellowship in Bariatric Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2013. From 2016 – 2022, she was the Bariatric Surgery Program Director in an MBSAQIP accredited center in southern New Mexico. She is active in several committees of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and is board certified in Obesity Medicine on addition to Surgery. In 2022, she obtained the Focused Practice Designation in Bariatric Surgery from the American Board of Surgery.
Results
Dr. McArthur has performed more than 1500 bariatric operations with excellent results. Her greatest successes are the patients who can enjoy many more healthy years with their families because of the life-altering impact of bariatric surgery.
